Ajax and Slide Show in Asp.Net 1.1

how could i develop a page in asp.net for slide show using ajax.it is easy in asp.net 2.0.so pls tell me how could i do it in asp.net 1.1 version with sample code.Microsoft's AJAX is not supported in ASP.NET 1.1.
